Fluid Power/Hydraulic Seals
A hydraulic seal is a relatively soft, non-metallic ring, captured in a groove or fixed in a combination of rings, forming a seal assembly, to block or separate fluid in reciprocating motion applications. Hydraulic seals are vital in machinery. Their use is critical in providing a way for fluid power to be converted to linear motion. There are many variations of these type seals used in the fluid power industry: u-cups; wipers; rod seals; piston seals; scrappers; guide rings; back-up rings; wear rings, buffer seals; vee-packing; swivel seals; pneumatic seals; hydraulic kits; x-rings and O-rings.
Many of these types of products are available in standard materials: Urethane; NBR,Viton, Silicone, EPDM, Teflon (PTFE), Hytrel, POM and there are many other materials available depending on the customers unique application requirements. Apartial listing of some of these materials we have supplied in the past includes: neoprene; nylon; Delrin; Acetal; Fabric and Rubber; Polyester; Bronze Filled Teflon; Carbon PTFE; Graphite PTFE; Moly PTFE; FDA NBR; FDA Viton; FDA PTFE; UHMW; andPhenolic.
