Fluid Power/Hydraulic Seals

A hydraulic seal is a relatively soft, non-metallic ring, captured in a groove or fixed in a combination of rings, forming a seal assembly, to block or separate fluid in reciprocating motion applications. Hydraulic seals are vital in machinery. Their use is critical in providing a way for fluid power to be converted to linear motion. There are many variations of these type seals used in the fluid power industry: u-cups; wipers; rod seals; piston seals; scrappers; guide rings; back-up rings; wear rings, buffer seals; vee-packing; swivel seals; pneumatic seals; hydraulic kits; x-rings and O-rings.

Many of these types of products are available in standard materials: Urethane, NBR, Viton®, Silicone, EPDM, Teflon (PTFE), Hytrel, POM and there are many other materials available depending on the customers unique application requirements. A partial listing of some of these materials we have supplied in the past includes: neoprene; nylon; Delrin; Acetal; Fabric and Rubber; Polyester; Bronze Filled Teflon; Carbon PTFE; Graphite PTFE; Moly PTFE; FDA NBR; FDA Viton; FDA PTFE; UHMW; andPhenolic.
